Si te atraen las piezas hechas a mano y siempre has querido probar una forma de arte más tangible, este es un lugar para empezar.

Vas a trabajar con tus manos, descubrir cómo responde la madera y aprender a dar profundidad, volumen y textura a un diseño propio. Laurel te acompaña paso a paso, en un grupo pequeño.

Te llevas una escultura en relieve hecha por ti, una guía y una constancia de participación.

02 / EL PROCESO

01 · Conocer la madera

SESIÓN 1 · 3 HORAS

Reconoce la veta, conoce las herramientas y aprende a usarlas con seguridad. Traza tu diseño y haz tus primeros cortes.

Tu primer diálogo con el material.

SESIÓN 2 · 3 HORAS

Vacía el fondo, define los planos y empieza a modelar el relieve. Aprende cómo la luz cambia al transformar la superficie.

El dibujo empieza a convertirse en escultura.

SESIÓN 3 · 3 HORAS

Refina las formas, explora texturas y trabaja los detalles que hacen tu pieza propia. Conoce el uso del mototool cuando el proyecto lo requiera.

Encuentra el ritmo de tu pieza.

SESIÓN 4 · 3 HORAS

Lija, resuelve los últimos detalles y aplica el acabado con la guía de Laurel. Aprende a cuidar tu escultura y observa todo lo que has creado.

Aprende con el artista, junto a la madera.

Laurel Alanis es escultor en madera y el artista detrás de Alanis Arta, en San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur.

Su práctica conecta la geometría, las texturas naturales y los paisajes donde el desierto encuentra al mar. Trabaja a mano, atento a la veta y al carácter de cada pieza.

En el taller comparte esa manera de observar y trabajar. Tendrás orientación directa para encontrar una forma propia, con un proyecto pensado para principiantes.

No. El uso de herramientas está incluido durante el taller, junto con la madera y los materiales de tu proyecto. Las herramientas permanecen en el taller; tu escultura se va contigo.

Las fotos muestran el trabajo artístico de Laurel, como referencia de su práctica. Tu proyecto será una pieza original en relieve, con un alcance pensado para aprender y terminar dentro de las 12 horas.

If handmade objects draw you in and you have wanted to try a more physical art form, this is a place to start.

Work with your hands, discover how wood responds, and learn to give depth, volume, and texture to your own design. Laurel guides you step by step in a small group.

Leave with a relief sculpture you made yourself, a reference guide, and a certificate of participation.

SESSION 1 · 3 HOURS

Read the grain, get to know the tools, and learn to use them safely. Draw your design and make your first cuts.

Your first conversation with the material.

SESSION 2 · 3 HOURS

Carve back the background, define planes, and begin shaping the relief. Discover how light changes as you transform the surface.

Your drawing begins to become a sculpture.

SESSION 3 · 3 HOURS

Refine forms, explore textures, and develop the details that make the piece your own. Learn how a rotary tool can support the project when needed.

Find your piece's rhythm.

SESSION 4 · 3 HOURS

Sand, resolve the final details, and apply a finish with Laurel's guidance. Learn how to care for your sculpture and take in what you have created.
